Suncity Vacation Club contract is misleading

I purchased Suncity Vacation Club Timeshare on a 5 year contract period and the date of inception was 1 May 2022. The contract was for off-peak season and it was a 2 Bed 6 Sleeper apartment.

Due to that my contract started in the middle of the booking year period which had already started in the beginning of December 2021 on occupancy from December 2022 until November 2023, I immediately made a booking for December 2022 and I manage to secure a booking for 05 Dec to 09 Dec 2022 (First week of December).

From then on, I would phone in when bookings open for the following year in advance and managed to secure my booking on the second week of December. I did that for the next 3 years. Late last year( 2025) I tried making a booking for second week of December 2026 and the booking agent explained that the during the AGM it was decided that 1st week & 2nd week of December 2026 now falls under peak season.

I want to express my dissatisfaction regarding how misleading the sale of this contract was. I want state that the reason I purchased the contract in the first place was so that I'm able to take my children for vacation on the 1st week & 2nd week of each December during my 5 year contract period, otherwise I would NOT have purchased that Sun Vacation club in the first place, I would have considered an alternative holiday opportunity which falls within school holidays for my children. The period that has now been allocated to the off-peak season is entirely during the school period which ends in November. How are we as parents supposed to arrange a booking that is meant for our children's vacation during school period?

I'm highly disappointed at Suncity Vacation Club, in the middle of the contract the stakeholders take decisions that are affecting the members that are already halfway or almost done on their contract with Sun Vacation Club. The decision to move the off-peak season should not have affected the existing members; instead it should have been introduced to the new members upon the sale of the contract so that they know what they are putting themselves into.
