Sun International - The Palace - AIRCON Problems

We stayed in The Palace for our 3rd Wedding Anniversary. As we got into our room, the aircon clearly didn't work. The staff sent a contractor to come take a look at it (twice) but couldn't fix it. We slept very uncomfortably as it was incredibly hot.

The next day however, they upgraded us to a better room which was a wonderful surprise! The aircon worked when we got there and we were very pleased with the professionalism of the staff.

The second evening however, the aircon stopped working AGAIN and we had to sleep in unbearable heat once again. In a 5 STAR HOTEL this should never be a problem. We paid a LOT of money to stay in THE PALACE, and we were quite disappointed that a simple thing like the aircon didn't work in a 5 star establishment.

Overall, we enjoyed the palace and it's amenities a lot. Lovely experience. Especially the Pianist.

ps / I suggest Sun International's The Palace puts freestanding fans in each room (hiding it in the closet or something) as I have a feeling this isn't a new problem.
