Sun City Palace Hotel Poor Security

Just want to share my unfortunate experience at Sun City. Checked into the Palace of the Lost City late Wednesday afternoon 08 August 2018 for 4nights. 4th floor. Went for dinner at the Raj at the Soho and returned to our room at about 21h20. At 04h45 my husband woke me. We were ****** while we were sleeping in the bedroom. Both our cellphones missing. Also the cash in my purse. They removed one of our 2 access cards from my bag. Pathetic service we received from the Palace Security staff. They reckon we left the door open. Why would we? We live in Johannesburg so we are extra cautious when it comes to safety. Sun City cops only arrived at 09h00. After we had to call hotel security again. Only upon our request did they move us to another room later that morning. Just an email from them 09 August stating they are investigating. Today 14 August another email saying sorry for the unfortunate incident. No cameras in the Palace passages. Only at the lifts. Sun City will never see me ever again. It's not safe. 5-star hotel with virtually no security? I'm convinced it was an inside job and not the first time this happened.
