SUN CITY, LOST ITS SPARKLE along with being FAR TOO EXPENSIVE!

I am very sad to say that Sun City has officially lost all glamour, sparkle and intrigue... Our family took our children for the first time to Sun City after being locked away during the pandemic for the first time and the Sun City we know and remember is long long long gone.

The buildings finishes that once made you go wow are so tired and forlorn. The bridge shaking which was magnificent, no longer shakes, the fire blazing by lions and holders no longer burn.

The food court however lovely the upgrades are now look like a shopping mall and nothing like the old Sun City. Its now like every other food court in every other shopping mall across the country. Nothing unique or exciting about it.

The hotels are in dire need of an upgrades, the Cabanas was completely average... The new covid friendly method of serving food however much understandable makes the food now seem cheap, tacky and aeroplane like! I was very underwhelmed at breakfast.

SUN CITY HAS MADE ZERO EFFORT TO TRY MAKE THE PLACE AFFORDABLE FOR LOCALS TO TRAVEL TO. NEWS FLASH NO INTERNATIONAL TRAVELLERS ARE COMING SO MAKE IT AFFORDABLE FOR THE LOCALS TO GO THERE. At R75 for a stick of butter or R 300 for a pack of nappies that usually costs R 190 I mean the prices are just *ASTRONOMICAL*.

The valley of waves still holds a certain appeal and excitement so I cannot complain there but I can unequivocally state that Sun City is no longer the exciting playground for young and old as it used to be.
