So Disappointed

It is with great sadness that I write this review as up till today we as a family have always enjoyed our stay when going to Sun City. We have stayed at all of the different hotels but enjoyed Cascades the most until now. We have stayed 3 times una row. At Cascades but this will be our last. Firstly I will state that the staff right from reception, cleaning and resteraunt need to be re evaluated as they are completely ***********. The cleaning of the room was ********** only what you can see was cleaned under the bed was a disaster the smell comming from the shower was horrific the tiles in the bathroom were broken. My husband clearly left his cap on the table in the room and this went missing as well as money my kids left in the room. We chatted with the lady that cleaned the room she said she would look for the cap but we just left it as I think is SA we tend to just let things go as thats the way it is. It did not end there we had staff storming into the room at any time after 8 when my kids are sleeping and not even knocking just opening the door after turn down very worrying as that’s how the *****ing can easily happen. They have no business opening the door. Then as for the resteraunt not once did we get our correct order but each time they charged for what we ordered even when they did not bring the food or drinks we had to check everything. We witnessed the life guards been *********** and a child drowned and was rushed to the hospital the manager came over afterwards I was thinking he was going to apologize for what happened as my children witnessed everything but instead he asked us to please leave the pool area as there is a private function happening later. No people s****s don’t do the job. Then as for communication between the Pilanesberg airport and the Hotel was a disaster we sat at the airport for more than 5 Hours. After asking the guest relations as well as the reception what time the transfer to the airport was leaving. They both said we need to be at reception at 12:00 we only left for the Airport after 13:00. Where we were delayed for so long. What would a simple call to double check have costed the Cascades staff. I am so disappointed your service is shocking. So those planning on a trip please re think Sun City. Even after There billion dollar renovation it felt as though everything has downgraded. Cascades hotel you are a 3 star accommodation at best. There is no longer anything special.
