Poor service at Wild Coast Sun

Spent this weekend 7 and 8 April at Wild Coast Sun. Checking in was a nightmare. Limited staff at desks and too much time with one person, resulting in queues barely moving. Check in time is 14:00. I was only allocated a room at15:00 as my room was not ready. Unacceptable. Wanted a cup of hot chocolate in the casino. My husband and I asked 6 different waiters and staff where to order a cup. We were told that if we were not playing at tables we could not have a cup. We were horrified to hear that. It made me feel that if I chose to play on a slot machine, I was 'inferior '? Eventually as we stepped out of the casino we noticed a kiosk that sold hot chocolate. Couldn't any of the staff just indicate that we could get the hot chocolate from the kiosk? The attitude and arrogance of the staff we came into contact with this regards put a huge dampener on my trip.

This kind of service is unacceptable. With regards to allocation of rooms, I fully understand that there is an amount of R500 to reserve the first 30 rooms. On Friday morning, I called the hotel 4 times because I asked to speak to a manager to make a special request of a room, I was sent from person to person only to be cut off. I eventually spoke to Benita and gave her my booking reference and she assured me that she was sending an email to manager Aron who would call me back. The call never came. Sadly I assumed room allocation was taken care off. However, this did not happen. I explained to the personnel that my husband was on crutches and I would not mind a room after the thirtieth room. But of course this did not happen. The start to the the weekend was horrible. And this continued right until Saturday night. We travel 2 and half hours to come to this venue, only to be disappointed with poor service. And bad attitude and arrogance. We left with a bitter taste early this morning. I'm not sure whether we will return.

we get the impression that we are not welcome at this hotel anymore.
