Poor management and poor marketing strategy, very disappointed

Received a sms for a free 2 day mid week stay at wild coast. after callling 3 time and waiting for someone to answer after half an hour I was told that the hotel is fully booked, I asked to be added to a waitlist and was told that all reservations are done manually and the waitlist is also fully booked. My question is how can a hotel send sms's and not have the capacity to handle bookings. poor management and poor marketing strategy, very disappointed
