PARENTAL GUIDANCE should be a PARENTAL decision

9 tickets were booked online for the Avengers PG13 movie on Friday the 27th Apr. After entering the cinema, checks were done to determine whether there were any kids about to watch the movie. A 12 year old joined and he was the only one asked to leave as he was 'not allowed' to watch it. My husband pointed out that there were numerous kids who were allowed in and questioned why they were not removed. A thorough search was done and all kids were asked to leave. The manager (who refused to give her name) said the kids could either watch another movie or get a movie voucher. The options were refused and wanted a full refund for the movie tickets including popcorn and drinks. Every other worker identified this as a major issue and tried to convince the manager to rather let them watch it, but she refused. A lady who happened to overhear what the commotion was all about told the manager she doesn't understand what the issue was, because last week they allowed her 11 year old son to watch Rampage PG16... she failed to comment. The atmosphere was tense and my nephew felt guilty for ruining everyone's evening. This manager should go for People S****s training and needs to revisit their rules - what applies to the one should apply to the other. We also believe PG stands for PARENTAL GUIDANCE - which is advised for younger viewers... His dad was there and ok for him to watch the movie... who should ultimately make the decision??? This experience didn't only tarnish what we felt about the cinema, but angered our entire view of Gold Reef City Casino as a whole! We will not be visiting anytime soon...
