MONEY ****** FROM HANDBAG - SOHO HOTEL

We had booked to stay at the Soho hotel from the 14-17th of March for my husband's birthday. On the 15th after breakfast, we return to our room to leave behind our valuables to go to the Valley of waves. The cleaning lady was waiting for access to our room to replace towels and we rushed off thereafter. Upon arriving back to the hotel room & prepare for the game drive, I noticed my handbag was open and money was missing from the hidden compartment. We then go to Thabiso at the concierge to report the matter and told him to handle it diplomatically only to find out weeks later after the survey that it was never reported! I am really disappointed and disgusted that despite being warned by staff at the Valley of waves to watch our belongings and lock it in the hotel room, money goes missing and never acted upon. Which part of Sun City is deemed safe when you go on vacation? It really dampened our spirits and trust in the establishment when random people are allowed in to clean without the sign being placed on the door or to sanitize without warning. The money is long gone and the internal process led by Mandla and Wynand is slow and painful when they say there's insufficient evidence. It seems as if one must chain their belongings to themselves when visiting the various activity sites.
