Horrible Honeymoon at Sun City

<p>We decided to have a small honeymoon breakaway at the Soho Hotel in Sun City from the 21-23 of December and it was an absolute nightmare. Firstly, we checked in at around 15:00 and when we got to our assigned room it was filthy, the bed was unmade, there were dirty towels and pizza boxes lying around, and the bathroom was a complete mess. We were assigned to another room, in which the safe wasn't working, so we had to waste our time in the room waiting for someone to fix it. We went up to the Royal Baths the next day and asked a lady named Regina where we could find some towels. She walked away from my husband as he was speaking and unattentively said she would bring us some towels, we waited for about an hour, and she walked past us 3 times, asking the people next to us if they needed anything, ignoring us completely. We eventually decided to leave and saw her sitting at the bar area having a fat conversation with the other staff, in the meantime, we had no service from anyone there. The "food" at the Food Factory is overpriced and tastes like cardboard, I ended up throwing half of my pizza away because it was disgusting. Lastly, and mostly, the entire stay was extremely unpleasant. Apart from one or two people, the staff at Sun City is extremely unfriendly, we weren't even greeted once and when we greeted the staff, all we got was dirty looks. The maintenance and service at the place is in desperate need of an upgrade, this is not the sort of perspective I would want foreign people to have of our country and its people. I personally wouldn't recommend anyone to waste their time or money going there. The prices that you charge are definitely not worth the experience. I feel as though our honeymoon was ruined and this could have easily been avoided with attention to detail. I am really disappointed to say the least. </p>
