Horrible experience at Grand West Casino

I planned a nice day for my boyfriend and I, but it did not go as planned at all. It was by far my worst experience at a place.

On Saturday, 11 July 2020, we arrived at Grand West. Getting into the casino was even a hassle. We passed the security, which was so confusing, because they just pointed us to where we must go and not opening their mouths to tell us what happening or where we must be. Then we got to the ladies sitting at the desks (asking us the medical questions), and the were very unwelcoming. The did not smile at all. It felt like I was back at school. Anyway, I wasn't allowed in the casino because I didn't have my ID and I tried to explain that I was only coming for breakfast and ten pin bowling, she said that I still couldn't go in. We then had to leave, but luckily I had my drivers license in the car and tried that. She then said drivers license is fine. In the mean time there was a white guy standing next to me who also didn't have his ID, but he was allowed to enter the casino by just reading/giving his ID number. I was upset, but decided to ignore it because all I wanted was to have a nice day as this was our first time coming out in the lockdown and 'wanted to make the best of it.'

Got inside, but most of the restaurants were closed. Luckily Wimpy was opened and was excited because we could go for breakfast there. The manager, I think, said that they reached their full capacity and that we'd have to wait. We then decided to rather go ten pin bowling. We we got there, that lady said that they're not open yet so we had to go back to Wimpy to wait. We waited for about 20 minutes. By now I was very irritated and just wanted to sit down and relax. We sat down, I know that the lady disinfected the place because everything was soaking wet. My jacket and pants was full of disinfectant. She then only told us that they don't have eggs. Again, I calmed myself down, because 'we are going to have a nice day.' We then sat for a few minutes deciding what we were going to eat. (The menus were soaking wet as well. I'm not sure if it was cooldring or disinfectant.) When our waiter arrived to take our order, she then only told us that she couldn't give us what she wanted becahse they don't do fish, salads or sauces anymore. And that's what we wanted to order. After that we wanted to go ice skating, but was too disappointed in all the trials we went through that we then decided to rather leave Grand West and go somewhere else. We went to Canal Walk and almost immediately got our food.

I'm very disappointed and won't ever go to Grand West again because I literally wasted 1 and a half hours of my day.
