Golden Valley, Sun International dictatorship

If you want a relaxing weekend with your kids do not go to Golden Valley lodge. We were the weekend and what an unprofessional n chaotic place to be at. Everyone know it's covid n take the necessary caution. The lodge does not inform you of limited access to facilities and change their rules as they decide fit, it was a super unpleasant weekend with guess arguing with staff, security and management about the changing rules and all they do is cover with 'it is covid 19 and we adhere to the President's plea. But when the President close the accommodation industry they were the first people to cry.

The Lodge rules are 20 people at the pool area for an hour however you are not not informed on how this work. When you go to the pool area you informed there are already 20 people and you must come again later, then when you go back you are told you can use the facility for 60minutes.after 30 minutes you told your privilege to use the facility has ended n need to leave. When you go again you see the manager with security chatting with over 24 people in the pool and more than 10 people around the pool area.

Golden Valley lodge have a dictator approach on their facilities and make it clear they do not have to keep you informed. So it was a weekend of customers arguing and not enjoying the facilities the Lodge have to offer. It was a waste of my time and money.

When I complained I was informed customers does not get taken into consideration on when they decide to change their rules, I am welcome to sit in my room, leave or wait until the facilities are available to me.

I was there for a week in January, the manager told me this was their policy since December 2020 and I informed her I was there in January for a week, before I booked out I made the reservation for the weekend in February. I would not have done this if I received bad service and treated as if they doing me a favor. I had recommended the Lodge to many and had informed people of my bad experience. My one friend was going to book in May but decided against it. Sun International does not care about their clients nor take them into consideration. They are inconsistent and very unprofessional, they decide when they allow 20 people or more in their facilities and when not. There were no rules on limitation on Friday and there were a lot of people, Saturday they decided to enforce rules.

Sitting in your your room for most of your weekend away is not my ideal way of a break away. I can sit at home.
