I planned a team outing on Friday 24 June 2016. Because most people in my team has never experienced the Grand west casino in Cape Town Goodwood, I convinced them that the experience is much more than just gambeling. I then planned for the team to do Ten pin bowling and went onto google to check what the price is and guess what popped out first on url http://www.capetownmagazine.com/news/ten-pin-teambuilding-at-grand-west/10_22_17544 showing the price on Ten Pin bowling is R35 per person. We had such a good time up until we went for the bowling. When we got there, the lady assisted advised that it is R50 pp. I then showed her that we planned this outing and even googled the price per person. I then requested to speak to the supervisor. A lady came (the supervisor) and said that she is aware of the article on cape town magazine where we got our info is on but it is not correct. She advised that there is nothing that she can do. Who's fault is it that we got the incorrect info from the net and they are aware of it. She was not going to do nothing seeing that we are a group of 10. We then get to speak to the manager of magic world(the manager for the games and fun area). He came and advised that he cant do anything as we need to pay R50 per person. With him, everything was just black and white and he did not even care about the inconvenience or the fact that this is a group of 10 people. We requested to speak with the manager of Grandwest. After waiting for about 15 min, actually on our way way out as we leaving the premises rather. The ops manager very nice guy came with the printed page where it states that the bowling pp is R35 per person. He apologised and wanted to make a deal to cover the other R15 so that we only pay R35. We still decided to rather go as the staff at the bowling is really unfriendly, people come there to have fun. They inconvenienced us and cannot give back the time we stood and waited for sup then manager and then teh grand west ops manager. The team spirit was down as we coming from an entertainment customer care environment and we good at giving the customer an extraordinary customer experience. I am not so sure how the Sun International will ever change our ( the company we work for) view of the Grand West Casino. We even planned to go the Quaterdeck and jackson Hall but I am sure that will not work now. The saddest part is the fact that the staff would not do nothing for a group of people knowing it is not their fault. They blatantly turned us down!!! I mean it was not only for 1 person and this is not even about the money anymore. It was most of the guys 1st time to go to The Grand West Casino. I went onto the website today and it is still ot correct. What will the Sun International Group do to change our companies view to a positive again?
