Embarrassing Experience at Time Square Casino
After sending the below experience e-mail to Sun International I am still waiting to hear from them:
After a huge embarrassing experience at your Time Square Casino on Sunday the 3rd of June, I decided to bring it to the attention of Management in order to avoid the same embarrassment to other visitors:
• My husband and myself visited your Time Square Casino on Sunday 3 June 2018 during our visit to Pretoria (as we live in Cape Town). • While walking around on the first floor, looking for a suitable machine to play on, I saw a cell phone someone left on a machine near the bar area. • I removed the cell phone from the machine, turned around and literally walked a few steps to the bar where I handed the phone to the barman. • We then walked to the smoking section where we sat down near the door and continued playing. • Two security guards came to our machines and asked us to accompany them to the interview room (without any explanation) • The embarrassment to walk through two casino floors and down an escalator with one security guard in front of you and two behind you (being treated like a ********). • When we got to the interview room, we had to wait several minutes for the “manager” to come and explain why we were escorted like *********. • He told me he checked the security cameras and saw I removed a cell phone from a machine. • I told him yes I did and if he checked his camera recordings a little further, he would have seen that I handed the phone to the barman. • They then escorted us back upstairs to the bar area in the same manner as they did before (another embarrassment) • The barman acknowledged the phone was handed to him and he in turn handed it to one of the security members. • It was confirmed that the cell phone was with the security member. • The manager then started apologizing profusely and said they need more customers like us. • They gave us each two drinks “on the house” in an attempt to rectify their mistake.
A family member of mine suggested I sew Sun International for being treated like a ******** without explanation or any grounds. It is not in my nature to just choose the legal way. I sincerely hope you will offer your security staff training to ensure they do not put other guests through the same ordeal. We visit Grand West Casino in Cape Town on a regular basis and have never experienced any hostile treatment with them.
