Disabled parking
Hi good day.i am a person with stage 4 lung failure.to someone that looks at me I may seem a normal person.however should I walk a little further or uphill I go into distress and require oxygen or to at least be nebulised .for that reason I was issued with a special needs permit to park in a disability parking.however should you be a physically challenged person and wish to visit sibaya and expect to be allocated a disabled parking then you seriously need to think again.on Saturday 29 June 2019 at approximately 11 am I drove through the sibaya entrance and proceeded to the disabled parking area on the left.the parking was full.i parked further down and slowly made my way back to the casino and obviously I had to pass the disabled parking area.not one of the several vehicles parked in that area had a permit to park there.i walked around a few vehicles and still no permits visible.at this stage management can review their surveillance tapes and follow the chain of command I followed to get a response.after resting and managing to stabilise my breathing I approached the info desk and explained to the nice sweet lady about the parking situation.i was directed to a security guard a few feet away and explained the situation again.he then directed me to the security manager that was chatting to a friend on the casino floor.i approached him I explained the situation to him and told him of my condition and why weren't the disabled parking was monitored.it was just a suggestion about making sure the parking was meant for special needs.i mentioned to him that not a single vehicle had s permit to park there.with a big smile on his face he mentioned to me if I considered that all those people that parked there most probably where in wheelchairs.i was lost for words.a long story short.nothing was done about my complaint Ms when I left about 1 pm I had to pass the same disabled area again nD to my horror I noticed a strapping young healthy gentleman get into a black polo parked in the special needs and drive off.all the other vehicles I noticed earlier where still there. Point of note tho there could have been a vehicle or two that was permitted to park there.the way the complaint was handled was unprofessional.on the other hand maybe all those that parked there where high rollers and that's the reason for me being brushed off.another entertainment place that is close by and is very much bigger makes sure that their special needs parking is there for that particular reason, for physically challenged people.my card number is ***.security can track my movement nD confirm if I am being honest even the parking can be tracked.so all physically disabled people make prior arrangements for parking before you get there.
