Covid appears to have addled Sun International's reasoning [Sun City Arrivals].
Tried to check and book for one of my timeshare units by email but never got a reply. Finally phoned and sorted it all out. Poor service but I managed to book when I wanted. Confirmation received and covid instructions given. What a farce. Talk about unfriendly and OTT! One of the biggest problems with the Covid virus appears to be a complete loss of sense. Their regulations: WITHIN 30 MINUTES of arrival [to save long queues!] Log into our website. An unnecessary long and complicated web address, especially when trying to do it on a smart phone [with data]. Fill in your category of visit [no Timeshare Guests button but one for Day visitors who are not allowed!]. Then your personal details - name, SA Id/Passport [expiry date, Nationality, Expiry Date], Date of Birth, Email, Cell No. with International code! Then answer the Covid questions and accept their T&Cs. You then get a screen with pink [turn round and go home] or green [welcome as long as you wear specified masks]. Most of their customers are making a journey from Gauteng or even further so why this idiotic 30 minutes before arrival. Also why haven't Sun International an easy accessible button on their main website if they want all this information at the gate? A miniscule bit of sense would ask 'guests' to complete all the personal details prior to travelling and sign a questionnaire and take a temperature test upon arrival. How about a major rethink and become 'patron' friendly? It's still possible to be safe without being idiotic.
