Cellphone ****** by staff from Brew ****** restaurant

Booked in to the Soho hotel for the Easter weekend. My family and I decided to visit the valley of the waves. Went into the locker room to use the gents and change my son’s wet clothes . I had taken my cellphone with. We had left the locker room at around 2pm to return to sun central. We arrive at the food court in sun central when I realized I did not have my cellphone. I returned to the locker room to see if it was there but it was not. I had approached Bidvest security to request if anyone had handed in my phone, no luck. I logged an incident around 15:30 with the resort security. I had frantically began calling my phone. It continuously rang after 30 attempts. I eventually contacted a friend who worked at Samsung to request his help in tracking my phone. At 18:52pm he had tracked my phone to the valley of the waves using my Samsung credentials. Thereafter I approached security for help showing them the tracker. The phone was online but had 9% battery life. At 19:12 the phone had moved to the taxi rank located just outside sun city. I was with the security in charge showing him the movements. At 19:27 the phone went offline at its last location was a village Maile ext just outside Sun City at which point I was escorted by sun city security to the police station where I had registered a case. The security from sun city together with me and two police officers followed the tracker to the last location. When we arrived we were met with a lady who stated her son is 22 years and work at brew ****** at Sun City valley of the waves. She further stated he came home dropped of stuff and left. She called him to return home before admitting that he has ****** stuff from home and elsewhere prior. We had returned with her son arrested and me without a phone. The owner of brew ****** refused to engage me as his employee with a ******** history had ****** my phone. The management of soho hotel and Bidvest refused to assist me as I have waited the entire day and I have not received feedback. Sun City management are clueless and do not have the necessary s****s or processes to mitigate incidents like what I have experienced. The worst day of my life sitting in a police van with the perpetrator next to me. The employees are not screened before being hired. There’s not enough cctv cameras to protect visitors. The standard of safety has drastically dropped. I leave sun city without a phone and no accountability from the management of drew ****** and security of the valley of the waves. Sun international does not deserve the rating they obtained from the tourism-grading council...I still don’t have a case number from the police due to the inefficiency of the sun city security personnel.
