Cascades Hotel at Sun City - dissatisfaction with reservation & ill treatment by stafg

made a booking to stay at the Cabanas in Sun City for 1 night, checking in on Saturday 23 July 2022 and checking out on Sunday 24 July 2022. On Friday evening on the 22nd July 2022. I then received an email from Mantumi Pilane from the Sun City Reservation department informing me that our 1 night reservation (which we had already paid for) has been upgraded complementary to the Cascades Hotel. Immediately I received another reservation confirmation titled Hotel Upgrade which stated that the check in date is 23 July 2022 & check out date is 25 July 2022 as part of the upgrade. However, when we arrived at the Cascades Hotel in Sun City today being the 23rd July 2022 the front desk (check-in) desk informed us that our reservation is for 1 night & we must ignore the confirmation email (sent by Mantumi Pilane on Friday 22 July) stating that we have complementary stay at the Cascades for 2 nights. Myself, husband and daughter are not stuck at reception for the past hour because the Reservation Manager says they made a mistake by confirming complementary stay at the Cascades for 2 nights. I am angry because we have now lost an entire day of fun at Sun City Resort because we were informed we are booked for two nights and therefore, arrived at the resort/hotel well after 14h00. The most disappointing thing is that we are nit offered any recourse for the mistake made by Sun City Reservation department
