Cabanas in the dump

upon arrival at 22.10,after a long journey, the receptionist, Odirile, advised me that the room I booked (lake view family room) had a problem with the tv and that the Maintainance team would only resolve the issue the next day. So the best he could do because he ‘had a long tiring shift’ was downgrade my room to a non lake view room as that was all that was available. After much thought and debate with him, I accepted it as it was late and he gave me no other option. We checked into our room and then went for a stroll around the resort. We returned to the room abit later, had a shower and almost a swim in there too as the water was puddling up in the bathroom. The tv in the room wasn’t working, and my wife had the Aircon splash her with water as that started leaking too. The basin was blocked too. It was the worst check in ever. The receptionist on duty at that time had us move rooms at 3am. Already annoyed at the fact that my initial room booked couldn’t be given to me, I got even more upset at the state that our eventually booked room was in, and even more upset that we had to move rooms at 3am.
