Stay from hell

It was a horrid couple of days .We arrived on the 13 th September 2023 at Cabanas Suncity .The reservations were booked and paid for in March 2023 and it was for my dads 60th Birthday. Firstly the said manager and employees first stated there is no more family rooms as they have a conference for SPAR employees.We have booked and paid months in advance for the rooms .Arrived at 12 noon and after utter rudeness from the manager,it seemed he did us a favour by giving us the rooms eventually.This was paid for so it was NO favour from him . The room was rundown and had a bad odour of sewage and the drains were clogged .The cleaners then arrived and poured so many chemicals it was virtually impossible to stay there . After 2 hours of complaining the room was changed but the rooms were more like 1 star . The second family room was given to us at 3 pm and the Aircon remotes were broken .There was a constant stench in the bathrooms and the rooms were not properly cleaned. The staff at the cabanas were so rude and we would wait for a shuttle for an 1 hour ,buses were empty but refused to take us . The staff that were assigned to called shuttles laughed at us and looked at us “dumbfounded “for complaining.The said employees John and Phelamon were rude and after asking for help especially waiting with a toddler in the heat for 55 mins .The employees refused to call for a shuttle or acknowledge us waiting . First preference were given to the SPAR conference attendees despite being PAID customers of the cabanas. The staff at cabanas have no idea of etiquette or dealing with customers.They don’t greet you or make you feel welcome at their accommodation facilities. The breakfast were dismal and most of the items were burnt and lacked cleanliness. This whole stay at this sun international facility was disappointing and disgusting. I would never recommend anyone visiting the Cabanas Suncity .
