“Unsafe Workplace and Ongoing Professional Damage” “Promises Broken, Safety Ignored, Career Affected”

I am sharing my experience with this safari company and its affiliated properties, as it has had serious consequences for my safety, wellbeing, and professional reputation. While staying on the property, I was the victim of a violent *******, held at knife point, with personal items ******. My accommodation door had been reported as broken prior to the incident, yet was not repaired. No formal investigation was conducted, and the property’s electronic alarm fence was not active that night. I was promised re-employment once the new financial year began, and I emailed the company in November to follow up, but received no response. After hearing from recruiters and some company managers that false or misleading information had been spread about me, I made online comments reflecting the issues I had raised in my email. Despite this, no action was taken to address or correct the situation. Meanwhile, students I helped train, who were only supposed to be there for a short-term period, were hired permanently, which reduced opportunities for long-term staff like myself. I have worked night and day for years, completing the jobs and tasks that were needed, but this dedication was not acknowledged. At the same time, the company made significant investments, including brand-new safari vehicles and quad bikes, highlighting a contrast between available resources and failure to support existing staff. Since then, I have attended multiple interviews at the same properties. On one occasion, I was introduced to staff as joining the team, only to be told to leave the next day without explanation. Additionally, false information was shared in references, and private medical records were exposed without my consent, which is ******* and has further harmed my career. This pattern has caused ongoing professional and reputational harm. I am seeking acknowledgment, accountability, and transparency from the company and its affiliates.
