Deposit

I saw an add on cars24 for a Renault megane so i send an email and john foned me back that was on a Saturday. We made an appointment for the Monday. I went to see John and we looked at the car. It wasn’t the car that i came for it was a later model. I told john ok lets make it happen. The 1st thing he told me was to give a deposit to secure the vehicle let no one else can buy it while they trying to get finance. I gave him a R1000 and he told me if they can’t get financing then he’ll refund my money. Not long after i left that morning he foned me to say I must bring him another 8 payslips because im weekly n the bank required 12. The next morning I took the payslips and when I arrived he told me we must go to African bank. We went n i told him they don’t give vehicle finance but they gave me a personal loan but it was to little for the car I wanted. He said to me he have a bmw n I told him I’m not interested in a bmw. He said ok he will look around and let me know as soon as he finds a car so i told him to give my deposit back that I gave him he then said i must speak to the receptionist and she told me they don’t have that kind of cash on the premises and ask if she can eft the money in my account I said yes that’s fine and I gave her my details. The Thursday I fone John to say the money not in yet so he told me he will follow up and let me know. The next Monday he fone me and I told him the money still not in. I foned again the Tuesday morning so he wasn’t in yet n i told the receptionist I’ll fone again. I foned again 2 hours later then he was in a meeting. I again fone about 3 hours later then he answered. I told him my money still not in then he told me no that money was for them to look for finance for me and it cost them over R5000 to look for finance. I told him that wasn’t what he told me when i gave him the money he said it was just to secure the vehicle and if the can’t get finance he’ll refund my money then he said he’s going to give my nr to his boss to fone me. Its now a day later and i stil didn’t hear from them. Their nr is ‭(021) ********** ‬. I can be contacted on ********** 870. They have my nr.
