Refund JT Foxx - Absolutely disappointed and appalled

My wife and I attended the National Achievers Conference 2016 in Pretoria on 09 and 10 July 2016. Despite being excited and looking forward to this for weeks, we were utterly disappointed with what the event was actually about. Instead of obtaining knowledge on how to better ourselves and our financial situation, we were subjected to basically what was a lengthy infomercial, with speaker after speaker coming to the stage, delivering numerous reviews and case studies on themselves (using video, using people they have supposedly helped, etc), and on why we should buy their product – another conference in which they would enlighten us on how to be successful, wealthy, happy, etc.

Initially, this was a shock, but we decided to play along, and we even went ahead and bought an entrance into a JT Foxx event (supposedly the world’s number one wealth coach). However it did not take long for us to realise this was a grave error – when we tried to search for him on the internet, there were no independent reviews, just information posted by himself and his publishers. After reading a little of these claims, we turned to HelloPeter, and immediately found numerous negative reviews.

We approached Success Resources immediately (this was about 30 minutes after the purchase – well within their cooling down period) and requested a refund. After a little running around to find the head of finance (the accountant, Anthony Levin), he tried to reverse the charge, and told us that it won’t be possible at that stage. We were promised that this refund would take place as soon as we email him the purchase documents.

The documents were emailed to Anthony that evening, 09 July 2016. No refund came through. On follow up, on 12 July 2016, I was told that the refund would take place before 21 July 2016, or worst case, before 28 July 2016. I attempted numerous communications between this period, only to have all of my emails and calls ignored. He did however, take my wife’s call, spoke very abruptly to her, and cut the call.

On 28 July 2016, I was understandably furious. He did respond at this time, only to say that the money will be paid by 02 August 2016 (that it was because I banked with a bank other than Standard Bank, and it was between banks), and he will send a proof of payment that afternoon (28 July 2016). I waited. No proof of payment nor any payment came through up and including 02 August 2016. I then called their offices, ignored by Anthony, but did manage to get through to Coleen Mokota Petja. After she gave me more excuses, I gave her a piece of my mind. I actually cannot believe that 4 weeks after the purchase, I am still chasing after my refund.

This is absolutely appalling and disappointing, and I expected more from an organization that supposedly dedicates itself to the success of others. I will definitely not be dealing with them in any form going forward.
