Zero communication and arrogant customer service from Subaru SA
On Tuesday the 8th I wrote the following to Subaru:
'Could someone please explain the following? I have a Subaru forester that was bought with a 5 year maintenance plan that ends now. Last year, with the ‘hard lockdown’ all services were delayed, and my service normal annual service (I do not do so many kms in a year) was done in June 2020. At this time a sticker was put into my car by the dealership which stated ‘next service 58 000 kms or June 2021’
When I booked my car in for a service for June (next week) I also reminded them that this was my last ‘free service’. Imagine my shock when I was told that, as my maintenance plan had expired end March 2021 I would now have to pay for this. When I enquire why, due to delay as a result of COVID (even vehicle license renewals were delayed) I was informed that it was a ‘Head office’ decision, and that, although the dealership had more than one query of this nature there was no accommodation from the side of Subaru. I would like this explained please as I find it worrisome and unfair to us, the customers – especially during these times.
This was to their 'contact us' address that promised a reply. To date NOTHING! This is extremely poor customer service & communication and will result in a loss of a potential 'repeat' customer.
