Styleway Lifestyle Group - ********** Business taking money without supplying goods or refund

I wish to warn people from doing business with Styleway Lifestyle Group. I ordered a telephone system from them on 07 October 2021 and paid for the system in full on 10 October 2021 after receiving an invoice from them. I enquired on 18 October 2021 after not having received my goods. I was then informed by Mr. Louis Krige of Styleway Lifestyle Group that they did not have stock of the telephone system. He had accepted my order and issued an invoice and accepted my payment knowing full well that he did not have stock of the goods. When asking for a refund he indicated that he cannot do a refund as my payment has been used to purchase stock.

On 24 November 2021 I received the following e-mail from Louis Krige:

"Dear Koot,

We are planning many refunds this week and your payment is on the list.

We had a severe setback recently. Not only with limited stock availability of the Gigaset range, but also clearing any imports. The ports have come to a deadlock with severe delays and there is much to read about it in the news. I spent last week on site trying everything to get our last import cleared faster but without success.

I apologise for not being able to supply you. It was highly unexpected and beyond our control.

To my great disappointment no refund was forthcoming and efforts to contact Louis Krige yielded nothing. On 06 December 2021 he indicated via email that he is trying to secure bridging finance. As all my e-mail enquiries remained unanswered and all my calls were ignored, I eventually got hold of Louis Krige Louis in January 2022 after posing as a potential client where he was fast to respond to my website enquiry.

On 07 February 2022 Louis Krige made a refund of R1000 with a balance of R2498 still due to me by his own admission. Since 07 February 2022 all my calls and messages to Louis Krige have been unanswered.

This is not the actions of a reputable or trustworthy business or business owner. I have been given the runaround now for close to a year. Why did he issue an invoice knowing that he did not have stock after confirming that stock was available. How can a business use my money to fund their stock purchase and then refuse to do a refund as my money is no longer available to them.

I seriously discourage people from doing business with Louis Krige or Styleway Lifestyle Group. I personally think this business is actually a **** just to take unsuspecting clients' money without the intention to supply the good purchased.

Today is 12 August 2022, which is 10 months after effecting my online purchase and I am still without my goods and R2498 out of pocket having been ******** by Louis Krige of Styleway Lifestyle Group
