waiting more than two years for a refund

i have bought a gap rashi vest for my son. it discoloured in the pool. which was a chlorine warm water pool. i returned it to claremont branch. gap manager said they will send it away for quality control. he never ever got back to me. i had to go in 3 times. eventuallu desre called and insisted i mustve ashed it with some colour clothes, which i have not . when i went in to the store did they coudnt find a record and she coudnt recall anything. i have contacted canal walk and charmaine said they would get back to me...another line to wait in. can i just get my money back please?? this is absolutely ridiculous. i cannot wait any longer.
