No refund offered from Stuttafords

<p>I recently spent over R3000 on a dress and coat for my daughter's wedding from Stuttafords. When I paid for this I was not made aware of Stuttafords return policy. The next day I found a dress I preferred and which fit a lot better and bought this for the wedding instead. I took the first outfit back to Stuttafords for a refund.</p> <p>The dress and coat was unworn and had all the tags. When I tried to return it I was told that Stuttaford did not offer a refund, only a gift voucher. The staff would not budge and told me that this was their policy. I thought that according to the Consumer Protection Act a company had to refund your money if you wanted to return something -- you can not be forced to accept a gift voucher. I re-checked the Act and as far as I can see this still stands. This is very unfair -- I have now spent double the money on a wedding outfit. I would never have bought the outfit had I known I would not be refunded. I don't want or need a R3 200 gift voucher, especially now that Stuttafords has lost me as a customer.</p>
