business nit consumer friendly

I went to Stuttafords in Canal Walk today and spent almost R3500 rand and when i asked if I will be able to return something if it doesn't fit my kids i was told yes. But then when i went to return some of the items I was told cash refunds are not done. I then asked to speak to a manager and along came Rushdia. And with an attitude I was told that company policy states that no cash refunds are allowed. I must accept a voucher. Now call me stupid but I refuse to take a voucher in a store that doesn't have the sizes I was looking for. Was this maybe a closing down sale. Because one of the GAP items had a hole in and was missing buttons. And I was in no way told that no cash refunds are done. Relaying to her that i did ask the saleslady if i could return anything that doesnt fit and got a yes as an answer was pointless because she was just adamant. According to her I'm supposed to have smelled this. Cause the only way I would know this is after I paid and read the receipt. So i had to put up with shirty service and a manager that was in no way helpful and with an attitude to boot. I am extremely disappointed in the service at this store and now sit with items which my kids can't wear
