Are Stuttafords GAP jean genuine?

I bought a pair of Gap Girlfriend jeans from Stuttafords Sandton City store in August 2015. 5 months later the fabric on the inside of the leg starts thinning and eventually tears. I contacted the store in March 2016 and was asked if I had worn and walked in the jeans and how many times I had worn them. After that nonsensical interrogation I was referred to Stuttafords head office and was told that my complaint falls outside the 6 month period and that the store could therefore not do anything.<br> <br> Although the lady at head office was professional, the issue of the quality of the item was not resolved. 7 months post purchase date, I am sitting with a pricey pair of jeans that I can no longer wear. <br> <br> Perhaps Gap should clearly label their jeans re. how you should walk, how many times you can wear before disposing of them. I am highly disappointed and opine that GAP has not delivered on their brand promise.
