Toddler Takkie broken after worn only 6 times....
I bought my son a black Nike airforce on the 27th April 2022. He literally wore it 6 times and only over weekends. Took it back to the store I bought it at in July to complain. At the store it was said they don't do exchanges after 30 days. When I phoned the Studio 88 head office I was advised that I was given the wrong information. 30 days is an exchange policy and 6 months is for factory faults. Long story short I left the shoes with Studio 88 promenade. Spoke to a Brandon. Eventually made contact with their head office and they emailed me back. Brandon sent them the images and slip. I mailed head office a few times and no response I got. Eventually I called. Spoke to a Jayson. Who advised me he got no email from me. Which was extremely weird but I did not find anything wrong with that cos emails does end up in spam sometime. He advised that Brandon was supposed to call me with the outcome but Brandon never did. Jayson called me back later only to say that Nike has advised that the shoe is not factory fault and they will not be reimbursing me. This takkie cost me R900! I mean a toddler wearing a takkie 6 times and the stitching coming loose is not factory fault. So what is it then? The shoe at the bottom you can clearly see the thread marks (not sure what its called at the bottom) is visible. The shoe had dust on cos he was playing in the sand. Now I have spent so much money thinking that it would last me for a year or 2 but 6 weeks and worn 6 months? He did not even wear it during to week to creche. I might as well have bought him 4 pairs of cheap takkies and I am pretty sure he would have worn it way longer! Now Studio 88 is shifting the buck and saying Nike is not accepting the fault? So what am I to do with a broken takkie of R900? Just throw my hard earned cash into the water? Sorry thats totally unacceptable. I would not recommend anyone to buy from them if this is the after service you receive for money spent and lost. Thanks Jayson for helping me oh and finally replying to my email which you didn't receive before.
