Sneaker price difference

I went to studio 88 randburg to buy sneakers for my son however the price in the shoe was written R499 and the sale price was R599 now R550 i jokingly asked the friendly guy who was helping me about the price difference and he went to the guy in the till to ask him about the prices then the rude guy at the till removed the price from inside the shoe and said to him tell those people here is the price and we went to him and try to tell him that's not how you speak to customers rather apologize for the inconvenience but he was so rude and just told me that fact is that shoe is R550 and if i want those sneakers that's what you gonna buy for and you don't have proof that the shoe showed R499. I now seriously want the shoe for R499 as that's the price i seen, he refused to give me his name and i took a picture of him.
