No refund policy ??

I purchased a sneaker for my husband from studio 88 liberty mall pmb as a gift, turns out it was too small as they are smaller cuts and it does not come in half sizes. Now the manager refuses to refund me although I have my receipt and the shoe was purchased 3 days ago. Surely by law one should be able to return items within a 7 day period??
