Horrible service received from Studio 88 who are selling defective procuts

On the 29th May 2022 I visited Studio 88 Bayside mall and purchased a Nike Airforce one. I am a person that works from home and therefor edidnt really wear the shoes that much after the purchase. I only wore the takkie on about 4 occasions for a few hours each day each time. 17th September I was on my way out and decided to wear the takkie and noticed a tear in the stitching on the front of the shoe. I immediately called Studio 88 in Parow Center as this mall is not far from my house. I told them about the shoe and after I was asked ro take it to the branch that I bought it I insisted that the Parow branch is near me house and I refuse to drive to Bayside as this is not my error. I was asked to bring in the shoe which is did the same day. I was assisted by the manager who advised he cannot provide me with his surname. He took pictures took my bank statement and sent it off to their offices. On the 27th September I received a call from the Parow store after I had to follow up as well and was told the supplier (Nike) advised the shoe cannot be replaced as its wear and tear. Please bear in mind the shoe was now only 3 and a half months old and worn 4 times only for a few hours a day and only to a mall or a visit to family. Nike is suppose to be durable and for a shoe that are priced R1400 lasted just over 3 months. I have shoes from various other brands like Addidas and Reebok that I have between 5 and 8 years. I told the person that called me this is unacceptable as I lost all this money and he advised he will try to speak to headoffice again. On the 28th September 2022 I made a call to the store and the manager wasn't available and I got a call back on the 29th September 2022 and I was told that they cannot assist me. I asked for a contact at headoffice and I was given a number and told I can speak to Jason who stated he is the head of Customer Experience. This guy had a attitude and wasn't prepared to listen to me and instead insisted I listen to him. He stated he thinks the pictures of my shoe and the report might have crossed his desk but the supplier said they cannot replace it. I asked if they inspect the shoe and he said they looked at pictures only. I further asked why they jot taking accountability for this and he stated coz it's not them it's the supplier and they just sell the product and cannot be accountable for any defect. I asked is this how they handling clients and he stated yes the store is not liable for the brand they selling. This was a horrible experience and I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone. They basically now want me to take this up with Nike and it's seems I stand to lose my money as the supplier as per Studio already failed the report based on pictures.

Hi Studio 88, how is it possible a shoe not even worn much and just over three months old cannot be exchanged. Are u telling me you sold me a defective product and I have to be ok that I lost that amount of money. Your staff are treating customers like **** and don't even properly inspect the products other than looking at pictures where the detail isn't even properly visible and you make a decision on somebodies hard earned money. Your service are pathetic and you should be reselling any brand of you cannot take accountability for what is on your shelves. I asked for supplier details and the pictures that was submitted form the hea office and the store and I didn't even get this but I'm told I have to speak to the supplier. How do u even resell a product to a customer and expect that customer to pick it up with the supplier. You want me to continuously look at a returns policy so that you don't take accountability for a expensive shoe just over three months old and worn on 4 occasions.

You guys are completely lacking customer service and this is sad as you basically robbing your customers of hard earned money and kit even willing to help resolve it.

Kind Regards
