Bad service by so-called professionals

<p>My dog was never fitted with a buster collor after having had 9 stitches at Strubensvalley vet. Now I am no professional, but even I know that you can't stop a dog from licking at stitches ...... After a week he managed to lick out 1 of the stitches leaving a gaping wound. I took my dog back immediately and enquired what the reason was for not fitting him with a buster collor when my husband collected him the day after surgery, so that licking the wound could have been prevented in the first place. The answer, "because it's not necessary and I was an irresponsible pet owner!" (Comment by the vet and his receptionist) The receptionist furthermore refused to understand my point of view, the paying customer! This women SHOULD NOT be allowed to work behind a service counter dealing with the public, especially not with people who are already traumatised by the injury/illness of a loving pet. She has NO idea how much I care for my pet. If she is kept in the employment of this facility, management should seriously consider moving her to cleaning out medical refuse in the backyard where she's not in contact with humans nor their pets they care for dearly.</p>
