Poor,Unprofessional, ****-like service provider
These guys will charge you without doing anything on your ECU. I contacted the owner in June enquiring about the costs to refurbishing an ECU. He gave me a price of R2500. On 3 July 2026 I phoned him again and checked on the price and he assured me that if he gave me a quote for R 2500, then that is what I will pay. The ECU was couriered to them on 07 July. On the 8th he phoned me and said that there was more to do on the ECU and it will now cost R3850 and as soon as I pay, they can send it to me; I was under the impression that they have already attended to the problem as I've explained exactly what the problem was both telephonically and via a letter that I've included in the package I've sent via courier. I made the payment the very same day (13H06) and forwarded proof of payment... ONLY to receive a message at 13H14 that they will let me know once it's ready (??) On the 10th I sent him a message "not to forget about my ECU", and he rep**** that they were still busy with it. On the 15th of July I once again enquired about the ECU. Response:-"Will let you know what is going on today" "I will call in an hour"(08H04) At 15H01 I sent him a message asking what was happening as I do not have another car. He called me and said the ECU remains in "LIMP MODE" and suggested that I pay for a replacement unit; another R8000, When I said that the unit was NEVER in "Limp Mode" he said that it's not R8000 additional, but that I only need to pay the difference between R8000 and the R3850 already paid. I pointed out that I do not have that money to pay. On Friday at 10H49 he sent me a message that the unit was ready and that I can arrange for the courier to collect.(Paid the R3850 - nothing extra) I checked with him that it was sorted out and he assured me that it was. As I was busy over the weekend I only managed to fit it on Monday.... SAME problem as before, even worse now the diagnostic tool cannot even RESET it. Went into the ERROR CODE mode the moment the car started. I sent him a message expressing my dissatisfaction and instead of coming up with a solution he only stated that he himself opened the ECU - NOT THAT HE REPAIRED IT, only the he "OPENED IT" why, I don't know, definately not to make an attemt to fix it. My guess, it was NEVER opened, he said he worked on it himself (?), yet the problem that I have identified and pointed out to him IS STILL THERE. He then suggested on 22/07 that he has a problem with me only responding (again) on 22/07 as "we would have figured out the solution together" DOING NOTHING WHATSOEVER, EXPECTING ME TO PAY FOR NOTHING AND THEN EXPECTING ME TO FIND A SOLUTION TO AN ECU PROBLEM, THAT HE CLAIMS TO BE THE SPECIALIST ON. I FEEL ****** to say the least and would not recommend anybody to make use of their services as I've just thrown R3850 + R268 courier fees in the water
