Simple customer service standards

I went to street fever to inquire about the return policy. I spoke to the manager and was told that without the box they would not be able to return my shoes. On my way out the manager started mocking me about the fact that I wanted to return the shoes that I purchased 2 months ago.

The salesman actually shouted congratulations, and when I asked him why he would say something like that he said - for standing my ground. The entire staff compliment laughed me out of the shop.

As a manager in the retail environment I would just like to say that the level of professionalism was appalling. If I had to deal with customers in this manner I would probably be without a job.
