Bad Bad bad Service Form Car Dealership

a Golf GTI was purchased by my son Dewan Oelofse in September 2016 from Stratus Motors in Roodpoort / krugersdorp. He bought the vehicle on his name but for us both to use after my hi-jacking. Because I just started working for n new company in September 2016 the banks would not give me finance and a vehicle was accentual for me to do my work . We approached Frank Brown Motors in Roodepoort. The agreement was that we will get a R20 000 cash back and a trailer as part of the deal and the vehicle will be fixed and put through roadworthy by The Dealership. When the vehicle finance was complete the documents showed that the vehicle was actually sold to us by Stratus Motors. Due to the stress and so many things that happened, i cannot recall exact dates but this is how the story goes… I collected the vehicle on the Friday in September and had a friend who use to work for VW come to inspect the vehicle for me. The list of fault is attached. I did not drive a lot with the vehicle over that weekend because there was a serious oil leak coming from the gearbox or engine. The vehicle was delivered back to Frank Brown Motors on the Monday and I supp**** a hardcopy of some of the faults to Frank and e-mailed the list to JJ with the faults that was recognizable with the eye. PLEASE NOTE THAT WIRING AND SOFTWARE FAULTS CAN N OT BE SEEN BY THE NAKED EYE AND CAN ONLY BE NOTICED WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE FOR A WHILE, I did not have the opportunity to drive the vehicle because of the oil leak. I was promised that all the faults will be repaired in one week. The dealership then gave me a POLO VIVO When I filled the VW polo on the Monday the petrol was streaming out of the bottom of the vehicle. Once again I had to take time off from work to resolve this problem. No spare wheel or jack Please note that I just came out of a high-jacking in September. The dealership then gave me a loan car that came out of a hi-jacking or shooting because there was a bullet whole in the passenger door and the passenger window was shattered. I could not see any on-coming traffic and I explained that I drive in peak traffic and I feel unsafe not being able to see on-coming traffic. I was told that there is no other vehicle available. Since I just stared working for new company in September as a sales rep and on commission basis only I had to accept, there was also no spare wheel in this vehicle and I was told that they don’t have a spear wheel. Imagine the stress and un-comfort this put me in. I went back to the dealership the following Friday only to find that the vehicle as not ready and that JJ has not even looked at the list I provided because when I asked him for the list he said what list? I then went with him to his computer and then only did he open the e-mail and print the list out. I don’t know what happened to the hard copy I provided. I was also informed that they are looking for a steering rack and the vehicle was at Motolek Roodeport. Out of the goodness of my heart I gave back the trailer to frank brown motors because he had a buyer for the trailer and needed the money. I was also given a bakkie to drive with after they took back the VW Polo and once again no spare wheel and jack. After I put a lot of pressure on the dealership (I wish I can count how many calls and discussions and hours I spent) I was then told that I must use the R20 000 cash back to fix the vehicle. THIS WAS NOT THE ORIGINAL AGREEMENT AND I AM WILLING TO TAKE A **** DETECTION TEST ONLY IF ALL PARTIES INVOLVED DO THE SAME. i was forced to take the vehicle in December because I was booked to entertain at a resort and did not have any other vehicle to transport my sound system and everything that had to go with me. And I needed the income. I have not generated enough income to support my bills work because of all the time spent on trying to sort out the golf GTi and because I was not willing to put my life in danger driving in vehicles that has no spear wheel and jack. I also did not trust the vehicles mechanically. After my hi-jacking incident I was very cautious where I drive and when I drive and with what I drive. I called the dealership on Wednesday the 8th of March 2017 and left a message for Lappies the owner to call me. No one called me back. I e-mailed through documents that has proof of the faults on the vehicle, repairs done by the dealership and repairs I paid for requesting the deal to be cancelled at the bank or for the GTi to be replace with another vehicle on the 9th of march 2017 to Mina Prinsloo at ABSA and Stratus Motors. I also spoke to Lappies on the 9th of March 2017, and told him that I have shows to do the weekend and that I can not drive with his vehicle, he said that he will speak to Frank to see what they can do to loan me a vehicle after I explained to him that I’m loosing money and my life is in danger driving this vehicle. He also said that he will not buy back the vehicle. Friday at 4 pm I called Mina Prinsloo at ABSA to ask her if the received my documents and to inform her what Lappies said and that he has not responded. She said she will call him immediately and ask him what is going on. I have not heard anything from any one over the weekend. Monday the 13th of March 2017 I called Stratus Motors at 8 am Lappies was not available. I then called Mina Prinsloo to inform her that no one has called me yet. She said that she is going to call Lappies Immediately. It is now 9:42 am and I received no response or call back from either parties. This unfortunate situation has affected me very badly regarding my health, my ability to concentrate and relax, finances and to perform my work do my entertainment. Put yourself in my shoes: you don’t know if you going to make it to your shows and while you are performing you are already stressing if you are going to make it back home 1am in the morning. I have started an roofing business with my brother and I can not even go out to do quotes!!! Etc etc etc etc etc etc Its nou 7 months later……… How this vehicle passed through road worthy is a BIG MYSTERY !!
