Terrible service
I will also recommend Stratum Gap cover to anyone.
With all the paperwork, proof that I had shortfalls that needed to be paid for the savings on my medical aid was up.
You only covered one silly little amount of R412. After I had paid out of pocket R4500 for chateract removal for my husband. Once again a shortfall.
Dental you won't pay, because your excuse is the medical aid must pay. These were charges of R3500 per beneficiary which was more than the medical aid covered. What utter ridiculous excuses from your staff. All paperwork, quotes from doctors etc were sent.
As they say. "insurance" companies will find any excuse NOT to pay but are quick to take your money.
So much for their Elite option. I refuse to pay for such shoddy service

Your Medical aid would always need to pay towards each and every claim line item, if they don’t pay it means we cover the entire amount and will be acting as a medical aid which is not allowed as we look at shortfalls per claim line item.
Good to note: The assessment of your Gap cover claim is hugely dependent on how your medical scheme has assessed their claim.
