Delay tactics when Strategic Insurance System doesn't want to pay claims.

My frustrating experience with Strategic Insurance System.

I had a car accident on the 22/09/2018 around 8 pm and report to Strategic Insurance Systems insurance road side assist who then advised me that my policy is not in their system, and it might been cancelled. Further they threaten that I will be liable for the cost if I have phone the wrong insurance. However they sent touring services to collect my car from the scene under those terms.

I then submitted all the claim documents to the SIS insurance through the insurance broker Coleman Insurance. The insurance then appointed an assessor who then wrote off my car.

I was then put in the process of an interview were an external company was appointed to ask me questions based on my claim forms submitted to the insurance. After numerous of calls I made asking SIS to get the appointed person to contact me it was done approximately 10 days from the time they advised me of the process. This process took place over the phone.

Then after I was advised that I will be put on another process were an external investigator will be appointed to validate my claim. I then recieved a call from a person who named him self as John. John advised me that he is an investigator. John was extremely rude to me and wanted me to take leave from my employment in order to meet him. John threaten that not meeting him within the conditions set by him will delay my claim. John was extremely insensitive to the suffering which I had been experiencing. John did not care about my employment.

Fortunately I had the call with John recorded, which I sent to SIS insurance. I then advised SIS insurance that I am unhappy with the John because of his bullying and insensitivity. I could already notice that John was not intending to meet me in good faith. I then communicated to the insurance advised them on my terrible experience with John and that they must find somebody else to do their investigation.

SIS insurance stated that they don't see anything wrong with the manner in which John treated me and forced me to continue with him. For the sake of my claim I had to continue with the bullying investigator under their duress.

John sent me documents requiring alot of personal information which had nothing to do with the claim I had made to SIS insurance. I will forward the documents to the ombudsmen office. Though I was not comfortable with giving out my personal information to the insurance I had too, because I did not want for them to use that to decline my claim.

My self and colleague (Tuma) who drove me to the meeting, met with John on the 2018/10/11 around 5pm. John continue to bullying me to answer irrelevant questions and asked me unreasonable question which has nothing to do with the claim made to SIS insurance. I fortunately have with me a recording of the interrogation I had experience with John which I will provide to ombudsmen. After meeting with John I was even more frustrated and had seen that John had negative motives on my claim. Tuma my colleague also stated to me that the investigator is a bully.

I communicated my unhappiness to SIS insurance and nothing was done but to force me to continue with their process. In addition to the personal information John initially required he then sent me consent forms to access my call locations and numbers which I had called on the day of the accident. This he had named to be cellphone billings and beacons. Though I was not comfortable giving them such information and they had been advised, I feared that they will use it to decline my claim so I had to cooperate.

By 2018/10/24 I had sent all documents to John the investigator which includes the documents which he requested at a later stage for my cellphone location and billings. Ever since that time I have been attempted to push SIS insurance to resolve my claim as it has taken a very long durations. SIS insurance has since provided me with response about the investigator being busy with the investigation or rather the report.

On 2018/12/04 after a long time with no information or decision from SIS insurance I had communicate my unhappiness to the insurance. That is the time they advised me that my claim has now been sent to their lawyers. For a reason I don't understand.

One should choose insurance wisely.
