Bad attitude at local spares store

As a seasoned and loyal client of this store for many years, especially in the motor trade is was with much surprise to find the attitude of the owner appalling towards my request for refund or exchange on a part purchased. I had purchased an electrical product from the store two weeks ago for clients vehicle, as with most electrical parts in the motor trade , these are none refundable, which most clients accept. The item lasted a week and the casing broke, it was removed and taken back to the store( same as buying a kettle and the handle broke, it works, just outside crack) I had phoned prior to coming in to inform the staff of my arrival the part brakeage etc, but the attitude received from the owner as his line : \ I don't care if it lasted a week
