DO NOT RENT SPACE FROM STORAGE WORX!!!!!
On Mon Aug 3,2020 I enquired about available storage units at their Pomona branch, I was helped via Whatsapp through one of the companies employees in their Parkview branch, the lady was very helpful but omitted to tel me that the 15m2 storage unit @ R425 pm was on the second floor of a building and 200 meters away from a goods lift. This meant that I had to carry each item 200 meters from the lift one by one to store them. I was also not allowed to use the elevator - strictly for goods only! As I am battling with a hip injury it was going to be impossible for me to climb 4 flights of stairs and then carry each item 200m to the store and walk back to the lift another 200m to fetch the other goods! This is ridiculous! I then phoned the lady in Parkview and she agreed to cancel the unit rental for me. Two days later I have not been refunded or contacted. I then phoned their headoffice - spoke to a lady named Trish. I explained my situation and she was going to find another unit for me at another location. I agreed to go and have a look. Got to Boksburg, they were not able to give me a 15m2 unit, but had 2 x 7m2 units available @ R950 pm. So,I have to settle for a smaller space (14m2) at x 2 the price. I then told them that double the price was not fair and that I was never told what the location of the unit was, they (Val and Trish) then got direction from some or other Company Director that they were not to refund me, and they could not provide me with storage space. This is absolute theft, not rendering a service and taking the money for it. I am sure they pray on many other customers too!!!! DO NOT RENT FROM STORAGE WORX, YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!

He promised to phone me with a solution -- guess what??? Monday came and gone. today is Wednesday the 2nd of September....still no reply. "One thing I never do, I never lie," he said .
