Good day. I stored my valuable belongings at Storage worx in Stoneridge from March 2016. My husband went to fetch something from the storage today and found that the padlock had been changed. The employee at Storage worx brought their keys and opened for him, only to find out that all our stored valuable belongings were ******. He then contacted the supervisor who told him that we must open a police case and claim from our insurance. The supervisor blamed the previous managing company, Storage genie for the theft as they ( Storage worx) apparently took over problems from them. There was no accountability and he was rude on the phone. We had a big SAMSUNG fridge freezer, a dining suite, appliances, books, personal documents, luggage, etc. The padlock was not supposed to be changed in the first place as we were the only ones with keys to the unit. We were not given a reason why our padlock was changed and why we were not notified about the change as we are the only ones who were supposed to have access to the unit. We have been paying money to the company and were not even aware that all our stored belongings were ******. We need the company to pay us all the money we paid for the unit and to pay us the money for the ****** goods.
