******** Debit on Account
I gave the Kempton Park Stor-Age team notice that I will be moving my goods. This was 06 December 2020. I went there physically because I had to collect a few things in my unit and buy some boxes and tape. There was an Indian gentleman there who helped me - I forgot his name. I specifically advised that I will be removing my goods before 15 December 2020 and asked if anything else is required on my end. He said I should make sure that I leave the unit open. He said he updated the system and nothing else would be required since I have already advised him that I am moving my goods and will no longer be needing the unit.
On 03 January 2020 I received notification from my bank - Stor-Age Kempton Park proceeded to debit my account even after I removed my goods and left the unit open well before 15 December 2020.
I sent an email to query this debit and was told that since the notice was just verbal nothing can be done. I explained that I spoke to a staff member who said nothing else would be required since he had updated the system, I am being told the debit cannot be reversed.
I find this behaviour very cannibalistic and uncouth. I specifically asked if I needed to do anything else and a STAFF MEMBER confirmed that nothing else needs to be done. How am I being debit for a service I have not been using from about 08 December 2020. As of today the storage unit is empty but I am being charged for it.
Very bad customer service and blame the customer mentality.
