Don’t get Bamboozled, watch these ******
The Stor-Age Self Stor-Age in Parklands, is bamboozling their tenants when they are due to move out. They put locks that prohibit you from moving out, only to tell you that you are due the full months rental, for having you stuff in the unit by the time the first of the month hits.
Let me unpack this, I gave notice to move out of my rental unit, and received an invoice regardless, which I responded via mail, asking when I was receiving it. Liam then responded to me, to let me know that I should ignore and that my deposit would be processed 7-14 days after vacation of the storage unit.
I didn’t receive any communication stipulating what time the unit had to be vacated, I was told that they had tried to contact me on the 30th of March, which was a Saturday. I then asked why they didn’t email me? And I was told I signed the Ts&Cs, I was then told that the lock was put on the night before.
The night before was a Sunday, and they close in the afternoon, which means that before they knock off, they instruct people to put locks on the units to prohibit one from actually moving out.
We I acknowledged the I was there at 10:00 on a public holiday, I said okay charge me pro rata, I was told they don’t charge pro rata for move outs.
This is beyond distasteful for company to hold your stuff ransom and demand you pay a full month’s rental for a unit, they know you are vacating, I can never ever support a lack of ethics as displayed here, I am shocked, and disappointed and in this economic crisis and climate there is organization that are motivated only by money that are willing to crock and ****, the very people that choose and in-trusted their brand.
I’m disgusted by these acts.
