CANCELLATION NOTICE PERIOD
I recently used Stor-Age to store stuff for a couple of months.<br> <br> On the 20th January 2016, it came to my attention that I no longer needed storage. I then emailed them to give notice that I would no longer require the usage of my unit for February.<br> <br> It turns out they require a 14-day notice period otherwise they charge you for a full months rent. When it comes to storage things are often last minute and having such a long notice period is abysmal... Try using someone who is more flexible in the future... These guys suck! Or at least take this into account when using storage facilities.<br> <br> This is a listed company on the JSE and it is exactly the kind of business practices that keep making shareholders rich and the rest of the population poor.<br> <br> As a Fund Manager and potential investor in your shares this will not be the last you hear of this.

We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with our service. Unfortunately renting self storage is like renting residential property where adequate notice to vacate is required. We are also clear and open with our terms and conditions at the point of move-in.
Most properties require a month notice period and in order to be more flexible with our clients we have set our notice period at only 14 days. This allows the tenant a short notice period and the company an opportunity to rent the unit to be vacated.
We do hope that you understand the need for our notice period when renting property.
