Overpriced and in need of an update

The food itself was enjoyable but the biggest letdown was the service. Waiting an hour to be served, is simply unacceptable. While the staff were polite, the delay made the meal feel more like a c**** than a relaxing outing. The pricing felt steep for what was offered. At R175 for hake and chips, expectations are naturally high—not just for quality, but for ambiance and service too. Unfortunately, the dated 70s-inspired decor didn’t help justify the cost. The interior felt tired and in need of a refresh, detracting from what could have been a charming riverside setting. Stonehaven has potential, but it’s overshadowed by operational hiccups and a lack of value for money. The overall experience left much to be desired, and I’m afraid it’s not one I’ll be repeating or recommending.
