Farming equipment manufacturer ****
I bought and paid for a chicken plucker machine. Courier costs were quoted at R300 which I paid, a total of R5,800.
Then I got a call from the courier company saying that I needed to pay for insurance which would be refunded on delivery. Sounded very fishy to me as the accents were definitely not South African. I declined the insurance.
Since then this company will not answer their phone despite the number being their only contact number and they will not respond to any messages on WhatsApp or through their website. I can only now assume that this is a **** and I will start taking appropriate action shortly. This company is based in Upington.

23 Nov 2021, 12:54Update. I've now got my lawyers involved. They **** to them saying that they had attempted delivery, but I was not phoned, I received no tracking number and there was someone at home that day. Their deadline expires in a few days following which further legal action will ensue.
