On 1 January 2026, I contacted the business to make a booking for 1:00 PM. The person who answered the call spoke Afrikaans, and I responded in English. I was informed that the business was fully booked for the day and that no bookings were available.

A few minutes later, I asked a friend—who is Black and fluent in Afrikaans—to call the same business to request the same 1:00 PM booking. During his call, he was not told that the business was fully booked, and the booking inquiry was handled differently.
