Re Ending sale of rabbits at all Stodels branches

In December 2015 I visited the Stodels Branch on Milnerton and saw rabbits for sale being kept in the full sun and in really bad conditions, needing medical treatment. I spoke to Heather the manager who referred me to head office. I wrote an email asking them not to sell rabbits as they are high maintenance pets, not for children and need to be sold by knowledgeable people who can ensure that they live their lives to the full, which can be upo to 15 years. <br> <br> An immediate response was that they comply to the request and will stop this trade. with the help of Cape Town Bunny Huggers the remaining rabbits were removed.Some had to be put down due to diseases and tow females gave birht the next day, of which most young died.<br> <br> I applaud Stodels Management and will make sure they keep up this promise.
