Electric Blanket Warranty Claim – Request for Assistance

Good day.

I purchased an electric blanket through Takealot on 29 June, which came with a 12-month warranty. At the beginning of August, the blanket stopped working. As the return information indicated that warranty claims should be directed to the manufacturer, I followed the required process and returned the blanket as instructed.

The blanket was collected and has now been returned to me with a note stating that the “instruction was not followed.”

Could you please clarify which specific instruction was not followed? I would also appreciate clear instructions on what should be done for the blanket to switch on and operate correctly, as it was working previously and then suddenly stopped functioning.

I am also concerned after reviewing the company’s HelloPeter reviews, where there appear to be several complaints from customers alleging similar experiences involving faulty products and warranty claims being declined or voided. This raises concerns that my warranty claim may have been rejected without the fault being properly addressed.

I therefore kindly request a detailed explanation of the reason my warranty claim was declined, including the specific instruction that was allegedly not followed and any evidence supporting this finding.

I look forward to your assistance and to having this matter resolved fairly under the applicable 12-month warranty.

Kind regards, Naledi
